About us

„Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don't just give up.” – Stephen Hawking

Atmoventus is our attempt to reach for the stars. The Project emerged out of sheer curiosity and the hunt for a challenge, which led to the development of our flight computer KASMU and the Atmoventus rocket series. Due to several big successes during the first year of the project, our hopes to reach space someday are stronger than ever. Embark on a journey with us and watch as we test our first liquid fueled engine, ponder with us over mind-boggling questions and let’s celebrate every successful mission. We have a long way to go, but we are convinced that we can do it!

Our Future

No later than 2023 our Atmoventus S-LTV will take off on her maiden flight. With this milestone reached, we will launch our Atmoventus S-H and the development of our own liquid fueled rocket engine and our first suborbital Atmoventus rocket which will cross the Kármán-line at 100 km altitude and officially reach space. At this point, our next step is to build a second stage which can catapult us into earth’s orbit. We don’t know if we can reach this ultimate goal as a two-member team before 2030 or by 2060, but one thing is for sure: We will give it our best!
